Volleyball season is starting again. I decided not to coach for Dunamis again this year. I have coached for them for 2 years and last year was just too much drama for me. I literally stumbled on another local volleyball club that needed coaches. I am going to be the 15's coach for Midwest Mission and so far it has started out great. Mark came with me for tryouts for the 13's and 14's last night. The kids had a blast playing around with the volleyballs and basketballs before practice. Tryouts went well and I look forward to evaluating my own team next weekend. This is a much more laid back club environment and hopefully less drama with the girls.
We are now just hanging out watching Monday night football. We really have nothing to complain about in life right now. Mark just finished his second college class with University of Phoenix. He has 9 more to go for his Bachelor's in Business Management. We are so excited for him to be finished in October!
The holidays are shaping up to be a blast! At this point 9 people for sure with 2 more very likely coming. Of course I will make enough food to feed a small army :) I am very happy to say that my brother Damon will hopefully make it. Right now he will but if he gets a new job we may have to wait until Christmas to get to see him. That is what Thanksgiving is all about - family, friends and FOOTBALL!

Keep on living!
Its been a great week. Still no word from the VA and there may not be word. The order to have Little Rock review Mark's MRI disk never went anywhere and no one really knows why. There doesn't seem to be much urgency around it though so we aren't too concerned. Mark is feeling good so that's what we are going with.
William was a little sick this week with a cold. He had a low fever and Mark stayed home with him on Wednesday. Just snot and gunk going around this time of year. We actually have some great news about childcare! We have been super-blessed with the best neighbors ever. Denise and I were talking about my concerns with the center the kids attend right now. I don't think I have overly-high standards but it just seems like its tough to find a place we are comfortable with for our kids. Case in point, William normally comes home super-poopy, smelling to high heaven and he's been like that for hours. They both come home with faces caked with snot and dirt so thick we have to really scrub their hands and faces to reach skin again. Call me crazy but I would hope a tissue isn't too much to ask for a snotty nose.
My neighbor Denise (who is an elementary subsitute teacher) and her mom Carol (who is a very nice lady) are going to tag-team taking care of Elizabeth and William. It helps both of them out and it helps us out in ways we can't even begin to thank them! We know that loving people are going to be watching out for our kiddos and they really have their best interests at heart. That is what we have always wanted. I can't wait! We had to give the center two weeks notice and we have 1 more week to go.. It will be fantastic starting the 15th :)
As for me, life is just still good! I LOVE my job. It is a totally different mindset and I love it. Mark is still working on his bachelor's degree. He is finishing up class 2 out of 11 so we have 9 more to go. The whole point is for him to GET THE DEGREE! and then get a better job :) This class wasn't so great in terms of organization or direction with the required papers and assignments. Hopefully the next one will be better. I told him I'd help him wiht his American Pop Culture class :)
