todd, pam and i just saw mark again. he looks a little worse today. there is more swelling on the side of his head. he was a little more coherent though and spoke more words. he was convinced there were no nurses and they were all gone. i think he is a little confused. he is in and out of conciousness. he keeps saying his head hurts and his legs hurt. they have pressure cuffs on his legs to prevent blood clots.
pretty much he is a house of pain. they haven't done the MRI yet but should do it in the next few hours. we will wait here at least until the next visiting at 1. hopefully dr yasargil will get some results first though and come talk to us. the best case is later on today he is moved to a private room but it wouldn't be unexpected for him to be in recovery through today and maybe tonight.

ReplyDeleteSounds like all is going well. Pain is good in that he has feeling in his legs and that he can express it. They must have him on some heavy duty meds to keep him comfortable as possible and hence the "delirium", no?
Everyone here at Cardinal has been asking about him. We are all pulling for ya'll!

Lori and Mark, you have our continued prayers, now for an as-quick-as-possible and complete recovery. Please know that we have you in our hearts and prayers always. Recovery is a tough process but it sounds like Mark is a fighter--with gumption!--He will get through this.
