night 1

i guess it should be called night 2 but it is the first night i get to have with mark since the surgery. he is in a lot of pain. his head hurts but it seems to be manageable. what is killing him right now are his hips and his legs. i believe it is the bed and the way he is having to lie on his back most of the time. he just got his pain meds and something to sleep. i'm at the hospital with him. they have a couch that pulls out to a small bed. kind of like what west bend had for mark when i had the kids. i think this room is bigger than what i had then but i had a whirlpool tub..

i hope he gets a little rest. that is what his body needs. the left side of his face is swelling more. his eye is swelling more and the area is bruising up. the doctor said all patients have this. his left eye responded well earlier though so i am not worrying about any loss of movement from the surgery (it was a possibility).

i took my aunt and uncle out for sushi tonight. it is his favorite and its my birthday so todd and pam stayed here. it felt good to do something nice for people who are being so amazingly generous for us.

i know i've been very stressed the last month and a half and cranky more often than not. your patience and love have been amazing and i thank you for that. i apologize for any and all hurt feelings if i caused them.
